Height for Hire and Easi UpLifts face hairy issues!

The Mo Bros of Height for Hire and Easi UpLifts are busy grooming and preening themselves as Movember approaches.

Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a worldwide moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

This year the gentlemen at Height for Hire and Easi UpLifts have formed moustache growing teams in Ireland and the UK respectively to raise awareness and money for prostate cancer.

Spokesman for the Height for Hire team, Anthony Burton said that the team’s motivation was "to do a lot of great work for charity, just like Nicey and Smashey”, while Easi UpLifts spokesman Gerard Jennings commented that their team just wanted “to change the face of men’s health.”

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Ireland and the UK. Money raised will help support The Irish Cancer Society’s Action Prostate Cancer Initiative and The Prostate Cancer Charity in UK with their efforts to create awareness, fund research, and provide increased support for those affected by prostate cancer.

If you would like to donate to either the Height for Hire Mo Bros in Ireland or the Easi UpLifts Mo Bros in the UK, you can donate at the following links:

You can follow the agony and the ecstasy of our team’s moustache growing efforts on the Height for Hire Facebook page and the Easi UpLifts Facebook page.

As the Movember philosophy goes, every man deserves to grow a little piece of luxury!

Preventative Maintenance at Height for Hire

Preventative maintenance is the key to longer life for your access machinery. It is also a legal requirement that your powered access equipment or lifting machinery receives a six-monthly inspection.

At Height for Hire Maintenance, we offer a 6-monthly maintenance service for a wide range of machinery from battery and diesel scissor lifts to articulated and stick boom lifts, as well as a range of mobile hoists including trailer-mounted and vehicle-mounted aerial platforms. We also have experienced fitters for specialised access and lifting equipment such as telescopic forklifts, mobile mini cranes, and spider machines.

Height for Hire Maintenance offers a weekly inspection service or an emergency on-site call-out. For larger building sites there is the option of on-site service accommodation, which means we can respond quickly to your hire and maintenance needs. Easi Demo Truck

Irish based international sales and rental company Height for Hire/Easi UpLifts has commissioned a new purpose built demonstration truck to take a range of industrial/institutional access lifting equipment to end users.

The initiative is one of several that the Dublin based company is investing in as part of its plan to build its business through the current recession, which has been particularly tough in Ireland. The three executive directors Harry McArdle, John Ball and Fergus McArdle said that the company is looking at a range of other initiatives, which include stepping up its new and used equipment sales business, opening a new location in London and the expansion of its rental business in Slovakia.

The fully enclosed truck has been fitted with a powered tail ramp to allow all products to easily climb onto the bed, while the canvas sides of the vehicles serve as huge advertising hoardings promoting the brands inside.

Once the truck arrives on site, the sides can easily and quickly be rolled back to allow the customers to see the equipment on board. While the mix of equipment is likely to change, it currently includes a Maeda spider crane, JLG Toucan mast boom, Genie GR20 Runabout and a Genie GS1932 scissor lift.

Padraig Miney, has been appointed as on-site sales and demonstration specialist and will drive the truck, carry out the demonstration and hopefully make the sale, whether that be a hire or sale – new or used.

One advantage Miney will have is the wide range of solutions he can offer ranging from a scaffold tower to a 70 metre Bronto truck mount, to relatively new second hand equipment to short or long term rentals.

The demonstration vehicle will be based at Height for Hire's all new four acre premises in Ashbourne, Co Meath, north of Dublin.

High 5:Mini Crane Training and Testing at 5 locations!

Easi UpLifts Group are the first CPCS Test Centre to offer the A66 Compact Crane test at 5 locations across the UK and Ireland. Already offering IPAF, PASMA and FAS registered training courses, EasiUpLifts are working towards making all locations a 'one stop shop' not just for hire, sales and service, but training too!

Fergus McArdle, Managing Director of Easi UpLifts Mini Cranes says "From our experience hiring cranes and MEWPs, we recognised that most of our customers preferred not to have to travel long distances for training, so we decided to rollout the CPCS Test Centres right across the UK and Ireland. Our courses can be tailored to suit the client's needs, test only or full training package, and with our 5 locations customers don't have to travel far to find us."

The CPCS one day test for compact cranes is available at all 5 locations, as well as an optional training package to prepare candidates for the test. IPAF and PASMA training is provided at all centres.
