Easi Demo Truck

Irish based international sales and rental company Height for Hire/Easi UpLifts has commissioned a new purpose built demonstration truck to take a range of industrial/institutional access lifting equipment to end users.

The initiative is one of several that the Dublin based company is investing in as part of its plan to build its business through the current recession, which has been particularly tough in Ireland. The three executive directors Harry McArdle, John Ball and Fergus McArdle said that the company is looking at a range of other initiatives, which include stepping up its new and used equipment sales business, opening a new location in London and the expansion of its rental business in Slovakia.

The fully enclosed truck has been fitted with a powered tail ramp to allow all products to easily climb onto the bed, while the canvas sides of the vehicles serve as huge advertising hoardings promoting the brands inside.

Once the truck arrives on site, the sides can easily and quickly be rolled back to allow the customers to see the equipment on board. While the mix of equipment is likely to change, it currently includes a Maeda spider crane, JLG Toucan mast boom, Genie GR20 Runabout and a Genie GS1932 scissor lift.

Padraig Miney, has been appointed as on-site sales and demonstration specialist and will drive the truck, carry out the demonstration and hopefully make the sale, whether that be a hire or sale – new or used.

One advantage Miney will have is the wide range of solutions he can offer ranging from a scaffold tower to a 70 metre Bronto truck mount, to relatively new second hand equipment to short or long term rentals.

The demonstration vehicle will be based at Height for Hire's all new four acre premises in Ashbourne, Co Meath, north of Dublin.
